I’m Almost Reluctant to Post This

I suspect you can’t really be almost reluctant, but I would really like to be able to credit this artist. I found this at Libraryland who found it at Maverick House Publishing but neither site credits the creator, presumably because, like me, they were unable to find out. In fact a TinEye search showed that it’s all over the net but, as often happens, I struck out at finding out who made it. As I’ve said before: The Creators Deserve Credit!

Discards or Brand New?

The wonderful book sculptures of Adam Bateman appear to be made from new or rebound books, which fits the clean, geometric feel of his work.

Book Arch ~ My Heart is Set On It

After seeing some photos of these wonderful book arches,
I’ve been trying to figure out where in my library I could get away with it.

I’ve saved quite a few discards for this and other potential book art.
I wonder how many I would need and how much size and shape would matter.

I’m also trying to figure out how to sell the senior high math teacher
on the idea of one of his classes constructing it for me!

Click to go to Bill Harvey's page where the mathematics is explained.

And there is more technical information here.
