I cleaned out my filing cabinet during renovations this past summer. I thought, since I store so much electronically that I might be able to get rid of the gunmetal grey behemoth eyesore; store a few things in file boxes and I would have more room in my office. The recycle bin did indeed fill to overflowing, but when I reached for the third file box, I realized that it was not going to happen. Although I have learned to resist the need to have a printed copy of everything that looks remotely interesting or important, I have not yet achieved the paperless office.
